Ronald Mego

I’m a senior Data Governance executive: I lead data teams across telecom, fintech and digital businesses — hands-on with code, strategy and architecture, able to design the vision and execute it.

My career began at Telefónica (Peru), where I grew from campaign analytics to leading Customer Intelligence. I then led Data & Analytics at Grupo El Comercio, Peru’s largest media group, focused on monetizing audiences and governing the data of the digital business.

From there I made a major move: I relocated to Panama to lead the regional data strategy of the fintech Tigo Money, covering Central America from Tigo’s HQ. Today I lead data analytics for Millicom/Tigo’s digital ecosystem across LATAM.

I’m a fan of technology for what it enables: helping people and companies do their work better. I like connecting the technical with real, visible and tangible value — not stopping at the technical; that focus is what has led me to take on ever-greater challenges.
